OMRON ADEPT TECHNOLOGIES FRANCE | 2012

Conicio worked on the design and development of a haptic interface for the treatment of cancerous tumours using laparoscopic surgery. Used for gripping, the haptic interface is a medical device linked to the robot’s arm on one side and to different surgical instruments on the other. Directly handled by the surgeon, the haptic interface helps the doctor with the most delicate tasks during surgery when accuracy is key. Thanks to the tactile feedback, the surgeon can easily control the robot, locate the target and treat the tumour.
